About event:

AUTUMN CONCERT Come and hear singers from "The Voice" and the Paul McCartney School! Arendal Trekkspillklubb invites you again to an autumn concert! This time we have the pleasure of having singers Knut-Sigurd Bygland and Caroline Kristiansen with us! They will guide us through the evening and offer beautiful solo singing and duets taken from classics such as The Wizard of Oz, Porgy and Bess, Les Misérables and Annie get your gun. From more recent times we will hear songs from the films "Three Nuts for Cinderella" and Shallow from "A star is born". Knut-Sigurd Bygland is a singer with impressive versatility in his repertoire. His ability to move seamlessly between different musical genres testifies to both technical skill and a big artistic heart. Knut-Sigurd has his education from the Bårdar Academy and from the Gothenburg Academy of Performing Arts. He has participated in "The Voice" and has held a number of concerts and performances in Norway and Sweden. Caroline Angorine Kristiansen was part of the group Seven Jentene, and has also sung for her sister Raylee. The music course at Dahlske vgs led her to the prestigious LIPA, which resulted in the art project and band FARIN, among other things. Inspired by meditation, sound healing and experimental sound expressions, Caroline creates music that explores emotions and rhythm. At the concert, we will hear a song she composed herself. Nina Irslinger is educated on the organ in the USA and Germany and was most recently employed by Moland congregation. She set a Guinness record for organ playing in 2015, when she played 60 hours in one go. Nina plays several instruments, is part of Arendal Trekkspillklubb and this evening is accompanying Knut-Sigurd on the piano. Hans Christian "Basse" Andersen started his "drum career" as a five-year-old in the Scout music group. He performs wherever needed and has played on many stages around the district and beyond. Basse is with us on percussion and draws on his over 50 years of experience as a drummer in the band Fatal and in the Arendal Youth Music Corps. Ole-Bjørn Gullbring is a trained teacher and music teacher. He taught choir at Toneheim Folk High School and accordion at Arendal Cultural School, where he was also principal. He performs as a musician, arranger and accompanist in Southern Norway and is musical director and conductor of Arendal Trekkspillklubb and Arendal Men's Choir. We will hear one of his own pieces of music at the concert, French Summer Waltz. Arendal Trekkspillklubb was founded in 1970 by local accordionists. In addition to accompanying the song numbers, the accordion club offers many and varied melodies from its own sheet music collection. All the music at the concert has been arranged by Ole-Bjørn Gullbring.
