About event:
Welcome to a lively performance that contains both humor and seriousness, with a whiff of old sailing ship times and a southern twinkle in the eye. Tales from Gabriel Scott's book Pider Ro are served, interspersed with maritime songs along the way. The performance has been on tour along the entire southern coast, at cultural centers, own performances in harbors and other cultural assignments.
Cast:
Actor Lars Emil Nielsen
Lars Emil is an experienced, versatile and sought-after actor from Lillesand. In 2026 he worked at Kilden Theater and Concert Hall. Many also know him from the summer revue "På nyklipte stier" in Lillesand and Grimstad. Lars Emil is without a doubt Southern Norway's foremost and most experienced interpreter of the character "Pider Ro". In this performance you will experience Lars Emil "in character" as the person Pider Ro, and in between the stories there will be interaction with musician Svein-Helge Vikse.
Musician Svein-Helge Vikse
Svein-Helge is an experienced and versatile musician, often heard in duo format with acoustic guitar. He works part-time as a guitar teacher and part-time as a freelance musician. In the summer he is very active as a cruise musician in Kristiansand harbor, and otherwise he regularly plays with talented vocalists on cultural assignments in the region.
Lars Emil and Svein-Helge got to know each other when they collaborated in Kilden's production To i båden – Sørlandsvisa 100 år in 2020. Since then, they have traveled around Sørlandet with Pider Ro performances in cultural centers, at their own events, as cultural features and with regular performances for SeniorKilden.
