About event:
Country music has never been just one thing. It has traveled through generations, changed expressions and gained new voices – but the stories, melodies and roots have always been there along the way.
In “Country from A to B”, two generations and two expressions within Norwegian country meet when Arthur Stulien and Bjøro Håland stand on the same stage.
Bjøro Håland hardly needs any introduction. As the very king of Norwegian country, he has left a deep mark on himself for several decades, with a voice and a song catalogue that have made him one of the truly great figures in Norwegian country history.
Arthur Stulien represents a newer generation of Norwegian country artists, with their eyes set on the modern American country scene, but with their roots firmly planted at home in Norway.
Together they show some of the scope of a genre that encompasses far more than one sound, one era or one way of telling stories.
Throughout the concert, the audience will of course hear songs from both artists' own catalogs, but also the music that has inspired them and the stories that bind the generations together.
And the connection between the two actually doesn't stop at country music. As a small curiosity, Bjøro and Arthur are related - so when they meet on stage this evening, it is both musical and familial roots that meet.
