Every morning, when I walk to and from work, I use the same route. Each year, the road
requires maintenance. I often think: “How many layers are there now?” In summer, the road gets
worse. Other roads are also clearly affected, especially near Atuarfik Jørgen Brønlund
elementary school, where it is difficult to walk. Roads built on permafrost deteriorate quickly due
to thawing. This negatively affects vehicles. In the future, roads might need to be constructed in
a different way.
