A TICKING CHARM BOMB FARIN is a ticking genre bomb of a band, loaded with inspiration from many corners of the music world. Neo-soul, traditional music, improvisation and prog rock are fused into an expression that is uniquely their own. The band was started by vocalist Caroline Angorine Kristiansen and guitarist Niklas Mæle Gjeisklid — from Tromøya and Arendal — while studying music in Liverpool, with one goal: to write music that breaks down genre boundaries and explores new hybrids of everything they find inspiring. Each song is accompanied by Caroline's paintings, which paint a broader picture of lyrics about life and all its aspects. With a repertoire from the band's two albums, stage outfits sewn from recycled textiles from Kathmandu, a sale of FARIN sourdough bread and Tibetan singing bowls — FARIN invites you to a musical party in Arendal Jazzklubb.
