About place:
When the sea towards Disko Bay froze, dog sledders and fishers would gather. We used our
own dogs and brought tents and equipment. Sometimes we stayed overnight, especially if the
catch was good. We hunted with rifles, and when we caught something, it was pulled home by
the dogs. We built shelter by placing two sleds next to each other. Later, people began to come
by car for hunting. Since around the year 2000, the ice has changed significantly and is no
longer as it used to be.
