About place:
One winter, my wife and I drove from Ilulissat to Oqaatsut and back again. We passed Zion
Church and drove across the ice. At that time, the ice was very thick and even, so it was easy to
travel. The trip took about 15 minutes. This was around 1987. Later, there was still some ice, but
not in the same amount. Today, we travel to Oqaatsut by boat, and in winter it is sometimes
possible to cross by snowmobile if the sea is frozen.
