In a small alley in the center of Arendal, Matthijs Bijl combines traditional shoemaking with creativity and sustainability. The workshop repairs shoes, boots, hiking equipment and leather goods, and also makes handmade wooden toys that invite imaginative and screen-free play. Many of the products are made locally in Arendal. Visitors can follow the craftsmanship up close and experience an environment characterized by quality, repair and the joy of creation.
