Drama fra operascenen

Drama from the Opera Stage is a popular opera production where the audience gets to experience highlights from the world's three most performed operas, namely The Magic Flute, La Traviata and Carmen. The performance is packed with beautiful arias, choral parts, humor and drama and culminates in popular operetta skits where the audience can sing along. The performance was a great success at Kilden Theatre and Concert Hall in 2025 and will visit Buen Kulturhus in Mandal, Arendal Kulturhus, Grimstad Kulturhus, Risørhuset and Sygna Kulturhus this autumn. Drama from the Opera Stage is performed by professional singers and musicians in collaboration with the Kristiansand Opera Chorus, supplemented by singing students at the University of Agder. The highlights are performed with full direction and are tied together textually in an informal and easy-to-understand way. Conductor is Anne Haugland Balsnes, Laurence Mériaux has the choreography, Mariam Kharatyan is the accompanist and the direction is by Nils H. Sødal.
