Approximately 40 km from the center of Steinkjer lies the gateway to Ogndalen. Here start trips to the geographical center of Norway and further into the national park with fishing lakes and camping sites. In winter, ski trails go here. Have a good trip!
Entrance gate to Blåfjella–Skjækerfjella National Park in Ogndalen (Steinkjer). There is a parking lot (fee), slate table, information sign and outdoor toilet. From the area there is a path to the geographical center of Norway (approx. 10 km). In winter, ski trails are prepared. A good starting point for short and longer trips further into the national park.
The area is reindeer pasture - be considerate and keep your distance. Dogs should be kept on a leash.
