About event:

We are delighted to invite young and old to the Christmas event at KUBEN! There will be Christmas theatre, a Christmas workshop and a Christmas gift hunt! Christmas theatre There is no Christmas atmosphere without Christmas theatre! Bring your family and experience the play "Dangerous Christmas Porridge", written by Bjørg Øygarden. The performance is performed by Arendals Dramatiske Selskab and lasts about 20 minutes. The play is performed at 13:00, 13:45 and 14:30 Free admission! A little about the play: It is Christmas Eve at the North Pole, and Santa Claus is going to eat his Christmas porridge before he travels around with gifts for the children. But when Grandma serves him porridge, she sprinkles rat poison on it instead of cinnamon, and as a result Santa Claus gets a terrible stomachache. It is a thousand kilometers to the nearest doctor and a crisis for both Santa and Christmas. The little Santas try to find help from someone who might know something about rat poison, namely the rats. But will the rats help them? Christmas workshops Here children can make traditional Christmas decorations. The perfect opportunity to make this year's Christmas gifts for grandparents, or some new decorations for the tree. Children can make Christmas decorations in wool felt, gold paper and paper. Christmas gift hunt in our exhibitions A fun activity for the whole family! A whole sack of Christmas gifts has gone missing. Can you help us find them? The Christmas gift hunt is free, and everyone gets a small prize. How much does it cost? There is FREE admission to KUBEN for everyone that day! Wool and gold paper workshop costs 60 NOK per child (3 items). Everything else is free! Save time and book tickets for the wool and gold paper workshop in advance here. Parking There is free parking down in front of the building with access from Ragnvald Blakstadvei, or at the back with access from Parkveien. If the parking spaces are full, you can park at the county hall. Avoid queues Most visitors are between 12-2 pm, so if you want to avoid queues it might be a good idea to come at half past one. Then you will have time to catch the last theatre performance at 2:30 pm, and you will also have plenty of time to make Christmas decorations. We close at 4 pm. KUBEN is decorated for Christmas and there is Christmas porridge and cookies in the cafe. We are looking forward to it, and promise a good Christmas atmosphere for young and old :)
