About event:
The audience success will return to Arendal in February 2027. Tickets on sale now!
Over 170,000 tickets sold, more than 270 performances, six seasons at Chat Noir in Oslo and several tours across the country. Since its premiere in 2023, Evig Ung has spread like wildfire through Norway and taken audiences by storm. Now the critically acclaimed and popular success is ready for its very last tour in 2027.
Several decades after their heyday as actors, Hege Schøyen, Ingar Helge Gimle, Henrik Mestad, Hilde Lyrån and Gisle Børge Styve have moved into a nursing home.
Here they have settled down with a monotonous everyday life, reminiscing and, to put it mildly, questionable activation. Because what do old people like better than singing and "head, shoulders, knees and toes"?
But the gang has long since turned 90 - and refuses to fade away.
When the nurse (Mari Kjølstad) turns her back on them, the rebels in them come back to life. The primal power from the glory days of the theater is still there, and it soon becomes clear that there is far more life in the old bodies than their surroundings would suggest. Because even though it can be tough to get old, it is entirely possible to feel like 25 and still have a burning desire to play the main role in your own life – one very last time.
Evig Ung is a musical comedy full of rock’n’roll, warmth and deadly cheeky humor, with a delightful sidelong look at getting older. The audience gets to experience a string of well-known pop and rock songs from the last 50 years, including “Stayin’ Alive”, “Forever Young” and “I Will Survive”.
A performance that will make you laugh, sing, recognize yourself – and maybe think a little about what it really means to get old.
After over 170,000 tickets sold, it's now time for the final round. Don't miss Evig Ung when the audience success comes to Arendal!
