Here you will find the northernmost entrance to Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park. Start from a spacious parking lot with a hut and a campfire site. On the west side of Østre Tverrelva, there is a marked trail that goes into Ellerttjønna and up to a national park enclosure with a magnificent 360-degree view. Have a good trip!
Gateway to Blåfjella–Skjækerfjella National Park at Lifjellet in Lierne and Grong. There is parking (fee), a hut with a campfire, a slate table, information signs and an outdoor toilet. From the area there is a path leading to the national park entrance. A good starting point for short and long walks all year round.
There are many reindeer in the area all year round. Be considerate and keep your distance. Dogs should be kept on a leash.
