1Remedy is a new (2024) Finnish sauna house in Potts Point. It's close to public transit and also walkable distance from the city itself. The sauna house itself is unassuming on the outside with a simple sign overhead on the door way. Soon as one crosses the threshold the focus becomes clear. There's sauna hats sitting on the outside of the door and shoes are off as soon as inside the door. The sauna is well sized with a Harvia Legend Pro in the center of the room and a Harvia Virta in the corner. It's got airflow and generates medium / soft löyly. The staff are regular with ice cubes for the heater as well, ensuring a good time. Everyone gets a sauna hat as part of the price of admission, which is not something I've seen at other places. 1Remedy has 5 cold plunge bays as part of their pool. Temperature is refreshing, but not as chilly as some other places. It's cold enough. Good seating areas around the space for chilling out, with a visit being 90 minutes. Bench height is a little low for perfection, but it's a wonderful space. Filtered water and cups provided on site to make sure folks remain hydrated. This is a mixed, clothed facility. The staff working there are passionate about sauna and enjoy talking about their experiences.
