What data do we collect?

Our Company collects the following data:

  • Your email and your username during the registration process.
  • Your profile photo, profile name, and short biography (should you wish to add them to your public profile).
  • Places that you add to the website (location, name, and possibly photos, tags, and websites related to these places).

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Places with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register for a new account to Places.
  • Update your public profile on the application.
  • Add a place to the website.

In addition, we also use Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com/) and Hotjar (https://www.hotjar.com/) to help understand how our website is used. Public places that you have added to the website, and that include a location, name, and may include photos, tags, and links to websites will be kept IF another user of the platform has also contributed data to the same place, by for example, liking, adding tags, or adding other information to that place.
