Bygd rundt historia om Myklebustskipet og den store skipsgrava som vart funnen på Nordfjordeid\ , fører Sagastad oss tett på arkeologien\, mytologien og ritualverda frå sein jernalder og vikingtid. The sources connect Winter Nights with feasting\, sacr ifice\, divination and preparations for the year ahead. \n\n𖣂𖣂𖣂\n\nWhen was Vetrnætr celebrated?\nVetrnætr is connected with the first full moon following the autumn equinox\, placing the Winter Nights at the beginni ng of the winter half of the year. \nThe full moon of october 26th mark s the Winter Nights of 2026.\n\n𖣂𖣂𖣂\n\nAcross Europe\, the old tradition s survived for centuries in stories\, customs\, folklore and seasonal ce lebrations. Much was lost\, forgotten or pushed aside\, yet the roots re main.\nVetrnætr is an opportunity to gather around those roots once agai n.\n\nThe intention of this gathering is to create a space where pagan s pirituality can be explored openly\, respectfully and without shame. Built around the story of the Myklebust ship and the great ship burial discovered at Nordfjordeid\, Sagastad brings us f ace to face with the archaeology\, mythology and ritual world of the lat e Iron Age and Viking Age. The reconstructed Myklebust ship stands as a reminder that these traditions belong not only to books and museums\, bu t to the landscape itself.\n\nRe-Wild contributes its work with rewildin g\, the lunisolar calendar\, Indo-European spirituality and the relation ship between mythology\, nature and lived spiritual practice.
